tmail explained

tmail defines a task as a work, which gets initiated by a person, flows through a series of stages, and gets closed. Each stage in the task is assigned to a person. The executor of the current stage may initiate child tasks, also called subtasks, and wait for them to finish before the parent task continues.

That means, using tmail, you can create a task and assign it to one or more people, serially or in parallel. Others too can assign you tasks. There are several reports like to-do list, waiting list, etc. available at your fingertips to enable you take the right action the right time.

tmail is suitable for handling the task network involving you, your organization or the entire globe. Any task for which there is not a concrete system like ERP or BPM in place, tmail comes handy.

Whether you are an individual rolling out trivial tasks, or you are an organization serving sensitive customers, you can use tmail to dramatically increase your productivity and effectiveness.

What all you can do with tmail:

  • Initiate a multi staged task, each stage assigned to a person.
  • Execute a stage, modify future stages if needed, and forward it to the next stage.
  • Initiate one or more parallel subtasks while in a stage. If you want to hide the details of a subtask, you can block the drill down from a parent task.
  • Viewing the following lists, with search and drill-down facility:
    • Tasks on your desk, waiting for your action (to-do list)
    • Tasks initiated by you whose "to be finished by" date and time is already passed, but not yet finished
    • Tasks initiated by you, expected to be finished , but not yet finished
    • Tasks on your desk, waiting for subtasks to be finished
    • Tasks on your desk, scheduled in the future
    • All tasks initiated by you
    • Tasks initiated by you, already closed (can be deleted)
